Before My Father Cigars became the powerhouse it is today, the Don Pepín García name defined the García family’s legacy. Early releases proudly carried his name, including the original Don Pepín García (blue band), Series JJ (white band), and Cuban Classic (black band).
By 2006, when Cuban Classic debuted, demand had already outgrown the García family’s Miami factory, El Rey de los Habanos, Inc.. As a result, Cuban Classic became the first in the line to be crafted in Nicaragua—a defining shift that helped shape the brand’s future.
Now, celebrating 20 years of Cuban Classic, My Father is honoring that milestone with the release of the Don Pepín García Clásico 20th Anniversary. Staying true to their signature anniversary format, this release comes in a 6 1/2 x 52 toro extra and pays tribute to its Nicaraguan roots—fittingly highlighted by the phrase: “Made in Nicaragua to honor 20 years of the original.”
Blend details remain under wraps, but what we do know: this is an ultra-limited drop. Only 2,500 boxes will be produced, each containing 20 cigars and a bonus guillotine cutter—making it a must-have for collectors and Pepín loyalists alike.
