At the end of the day, you bought the cigar, you can cut it however you prefer! Sure, a V cut or a punch cut may be a bit cleaner allowing less shards of tobacco to enter your mouth while smoking, but if you like a straight cut, go for a straight cut! Some of the most popular cigar makers out there don’t even use a cutter…they just bite the cap off!
