Mil Días Des Deux (French translation: "of the two") features six Mil Días cigars in the original Habano expression, along with six Mil Días Maduro cigars, in a 12-count box. Both cigars are rolled in a 6 1/8" × 42 'Corona Grande' or 'Long Corona' vitola. "The origin of this project probably goes back 10-plus years," explained Crowned Heads President and co-owner, Jon Huber. "Back then, a friend introduced me to a cigar from the Cuban Hoyo de Monterey portfolio called, Hoyo de Monterrey Le Hoyo Des Dieux (Spanish translation: "of the gods"). That cigar was discontinued in 2014. I remember that I ended up asking My Father Cigars to make me two bundles of our 2015 Las Calaveras blend in that exact size, and I gifted him a bundle and kept one for myself. I fondly remember how great that cigar smoked and how much I loved that size. Ever since then, I've had that cigar in the back of my mind and was always looking for the right opportunity to put the Crowned Heads spin on that vitola."
Crowned Heads Mil Días Des Deux LE 2025 production will be limited to 1,500 (12-count) boxes, i.e., 18,000 total cigars (spit evenly between the original Mil Días Habano and Mil Días Maduro blends). As with both Mil Dias and Mil Días Maduro regular production cigars, Des Deux LE 2025 is produced at the D'Hatuey factory in Esteli, Nicaragua, under the supervision of Don Eradio Pichardo. Des Deux will begin shipping in early October.
