Lots of times I am asked the question – What do you recommend for me to smoke? – Well, that’s an extremely tough question for me to answer without knowing key information. Almost instantly I will follow up that question with – Well, what kind of cigars to you like? This instantly familiarizes me with the consumers pallet. It’s not important what cigars I particularly like, or what cigars got the highest rating. It all depends on the person. Some people enjoy big ring gauge, some small, some strong, some mild – It’s your cigar, have it however you like it!
I also compare a cigar to food. Sure, a nice fillet is amazing (Padron 50th Maduro), but sometimes you’re just in the mood for a nice tasty burger. Don’t just assume a more expensive cigar is going to hit the spot more than a cheaper one. Smoke whatever you’re in the mood for at that exact time and I assure you that you won’t be disappointed!
